The 2024 autumn extravaganza, the "PANGCAH Lifestyle Festival," has evolved since its inception into a large-scale local music and cultural event initiated by Taibalang youth. It combines mythology, crafts, art, and music to convey the origins of local culture. Each year, it traces the magical historical context of Taibalang with a different theme. From origin, chaos, spirit division, faith, to the descent of the gods, humanity gradually coalesced into ethnic groups and tribes, developing rich life scenarios such as division of labor, gathering, and collective behavior in response to life and nature. In 2024, the festival was once again held in the Dafu Plain Forest Park of Guangfu, Hualien—formerly the "traditional territory" of the Taibalang tribe. Starting with natural materials and combining the past, present, and future, the festival allows travelers to step into the local community and delve into the fusion of tradition and modernity.

The diverse activities within the festival all originate from the Amis people's ethnicity, culture, and beliefs. Through their own observations and experiences of daily life, they express the essence of their culture through art, music, or crafts, amplifying the charm of "humanity." The project encompasses: a large-scale stage installation inspired by the rooftops of traditional Amis tribal meeting places—"Under One Roof"; 14 cross-cultural music performances featuring international, Hakka, Minnan, and indigenous musical styles; 30 market experiences rich in "Hualien hospitality" and the spirit of "destructive hospitality"; and "Life Experience Tours," "Traditional Tribal Skills Competitions," and "Tribal Craft Experiences," led by tribal artisans and people of all ages, offering a comprehensive experience of the wisdom of survival in nature.

The fusion of Taibalang's traditional culture and contemporary art; its meticulous attention to people's lifestyles; and the translation of the live atmosphere—all these elements showcase the undeniable vitality and power of the Life Festival. The PANGCAH Life Festival aims to help local residents rediscover their connection to the land beneath their feet, and to preserve and pass on the power of tribal culture.
